Anna-Maria Karjalainen, ICA Europe Director for Climate and Sustainability, welcomes the progress on supporting EU net zero value chains: Last week, the European Commission launched the first call for strategic raw material projects as the Critical Raw Materials Act entered into force, transforming it into action. Yesterday, the Council vote gave the final approval to the Net-zero Industry Act. The next Commission should follow up on these achievements with an EU Industrial Deal to address the remaining obstacles to investments in the EU’s strategic net zero value chains.
